Why doesn’t this T10 LED bulb have an E-mark?

Replacement bulbs must comply with European standards regarding safety, waterproofing, and short-circuit prevention (ECE-R37). These standards are based on the incandescent and halogen bulbs of the past. LED replacement bulbs cannot meet these standards because they do not contain a filament. As a result, this LED bulb does not receive the ECE R37 mark and officially may not be used on public roads. You may use the T10 LED bulb xenon white on private property or for racing, for example.
